Rohde & Schwarz EK070 Receiver

The PLL synthesized VLF - HF all wave receiver Rohde & Schwarz EK070 has been introduced in 1979. It's digital frequency readout has an accuracy of 10 Hz. The R&S EK070 has been one of the earliest shortwave receivers with direct keypad frequency entry, thirty electronic memories and the possibility of beeing remote controlled by a computer or a secondary controller BG 170.

Here the description [930 KB] how to connect the Rohde & Schwarz EK070 with the built in V.24 serial board to the PC in order to control the EK070 with OmniRig and Pegasus from N4PY. Carl did a software upgrade to control the EK070 with his software Pegasus version v4.42D.

Make full use of your sunspot cycle with the Patriots low angle signal. The AV-640 uses quarter wave stubs on 6, 10, 12, and 17 meters and efficient end loading coil and capacity hats on 15, 20, 30, 40 meters. Instead of typical lossy can traps, the AV-640 resonators are placed in parallel not in series. There are no radials on the ground needed!

Final installation and ready for operation with 1kW - no tuning anymore!

Great Tuner to tune from 10m to 160m with 1kW.

The complete JC-4s Wire Antenna Documentation [5’426 KB] . Great antenna for 160m up to 10m. The best results are from 40m to 160m. For DX on the higher bands 20m to 6m I still use my vertical Antenna AV-640 in order to have a better take-off.
